Time & Attendance
Time and Attendance is the primary module of the SBV software. Employee information and configuration are maintained here and used by the other modules.
Every addition, edit or deletion can be attributed to a user, date and time.
SBV provides time and attendance, scheduling, accruals, payroll interfaces and Payroll Based Journal reporting in one system. The software is sold and supported directly by SBV.
Employee information is centralized and available to all modules, eliminating double entry and allowing complete data integration.
Employees punch at a supported biometric clock. Schedule restrictions can be applied.
Rounding, overtime, premiums, breaks, lunches, and holiday rules are applied to recorded hours.
Schedules can adjust to budgets and census. Accrual pay types are calculated and validated.
SBV creates the file in your provider's required format, then compares total hours between both systems.
SBV creates the CMS-required XML file, with reports available in PDF or Excel.

The Scheduler provides a budget-controlled scheduling process. Staffing levels can adjust based on census, and the Accruals module calculates and validates accrual pay types.
Changes made by one user immediately appear to all users.
The Payroll Based Journal module creates the XML file required by CMS for electronic submission of direct-care hours. It handles PBJ job types, overnight shifts and hours that pass through midnight.
Each XML file can contain one day to three months of data.
Maintain primary and secondary licenses and certifications, track physical, PPD and MMR dates, and report on mandatory and optional in-services.
Reports identify missing requirements and upcoming due dates.
SBV creates the payroll file in the format specified by your payroll company. Your payroll system imports and validates the file, and total hours are compared between both systems.
A test file is processed with your payroll provider before go-live.
Over 250 reports are available in PDF or Excel, including employee, time card, punch, hours, scheduling, staffing, accrual and attendance reports.
Custom reporting, Excel templates and raw-data export are also available.
SBV software is designed to handle the rules and staffing requirements of long-term care facilities. Multiple shifts, labor levels, pay rules, PBJ job titles, employee licenses and health requirements can all be maintained in the same system.
PBJ hours can be allocated by department or employee. The system handles overnight shifts and hours that pass through midnight.
SBV technicians work with your staff to achieve a smooth and efficient transition from your existing systems to the new SBV software.
SBV documents the implementation process and timeline so both teams agree on the services SBV will provide and the resources your organization will provide.
SBV performs an extensive rules survey with key personnel, provides a rules document for review, and configures the software to match your rules and organizational structure.
Existing data can be migrated from payroll and time and attendance systems. Training can be remote or onsite, and payroll interface testing is completed before go-live.
Ongoing support is provided throughout the life of the software. Your initial contact remains involved throughout an issue and works with higher-level support or programming when needed.
SBV provides installation, setup, training, software customization, support and maintenance contracts. Existing clients can receive phone, email and remote assistance. Time-clock support, including support for existing HandPunch units, is available under a maintenance contract.
